Snacks and beverages await as does a light buffet. Snacks and wine (beverages) when you arrive and socialize. Then a delightful performance by our young singers from Utah Opera along with sufficient comments to add to one’s knowledge of opera and….

Some delicious bites before you depart with the early evenings happenings still dancing through your mind and heightening your mood–ah…Véritable irrésistible! Alors, on arrose ça. À la vôtre!

Somewhere we have photos of our recent Feb. 12 evening of ACCROITRE (It was a French evening after all). May be I should write S’ACCROITRE. I am referring to an evening of increase, of growing, of fattening oneself (that is what the S’ does for the verb. ) I shall keep trying and seeking to get more photos on. AND… Mary Lee should have some excellent candid shots. She took more than I did. Let us ask, beg, insist!!!

Are you the Vern Bergstrom who studied at McGill University’s Faculty of Music in the mid to late 70′s?

I you are, my name is Syl (Sylvain) Coutu.
I think you will remember me. I also studied at McGill’s Faculty of Music in 1975 and part of 1976. I did not complete my studies in percussion because I was getting more and more work as a drummer.
If I remember correctly, we played a number of gigs together with Quebec folk-rock artist Paul Pich

I just wanted to add my personal thanks for your interest in our program and our kids. For them to experience the opera, which they would never dream of, is surly an event that they will remember for a long time. Exposures like this helps teach them that there is a great big world out there and encourages them to work to be a part of it. Thanks for the history, Beverly. As the Guild continues to grow and expand it’s outreach in Northern Utah, we look back fondly on it’s history and express our thanks to those who founded the organization. We look forward to a bright future for the Guild and he Utah Opera Company.
